RRAA participate in events such as Monthly Meetings, Field Days, Honey Shows, and Conventions.
Monthly Meetings
Our Bee Club hosts meetings the second Tuesday evening of most months. Typically, we meet at 7:30p.m. in the Basement Meeting Room, (right hand stairs downwards after entering at the Nairn Ave entrance doors, of the Elmwood Legion located at 920 Mairn Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. (A few blocks West of corner Nairn and Lagimodiere).
Meeting topics vary widely and provide information on keeping bees healthy, getting ready for winter, marketing honey, etc. For monthly topics, see the Meeting Topic page.
RRAA members also organize and present the annual and colourful, Manitoba Honey Show.
The Honey Show is usually held each fall, at The Forks Market in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, during September. The next show is planned so check out the Honey Show web page for specific timing and dates.
The show, is a consumer focused educational and promotional event presented on behalf of the Manitoba Beekeepers’ Association. The three main elements of the show are a Honey Competition, an Industry Display, and a Hive Product Sales area. You are welcome to stop by, meet with honey producers, and take part in the demonstrations and events, or purchase floral specific honey as a special taste treat.
Members of RRAA, along with other interested individuals, may attend the yearly Manitoba Beekeepers'  convention/symposium. The provincial beekeepers association hosts a series of educational, research, and informative sessions for all of Manitoba's beekeepers. The event, usually in the Spring of each year.
